Bigg Eats
Trader Selection Criteria
We’re passionate about bringing Biggleswade high-quality, exciting food that celebrates a diverse mix of cuisines and cultures. To help us achieve that, we carefully select traders who meet the following criteria:
To be considered, you must:
Offer unique and exciting street food that’s not currently available from local Biggleswade businesses or within our existing pool of traders.
Operate from a food truck, mobile catering unit, or your own gazebo.
Hold all required compliance documentation, including:
Valid public liability insurance
Up-to-date electrical and gas safety certificates (where applicable)
Appropriate equipment, including a 13–16 amp power supply and cable covers to meet health and safety requirements
A 5-star Food Hygiene Rating
Demonstrate a commitment to supporting the local community, with a focus on delivering high-quality food and maintaining open, proactive communication with the organisers.
Be available to trade on Thursday evenings as well as at occasional ad hoc events.
Maintain regular communication with the DRINK Tasting Room team throughout the planning and delivery of the event.
Submit the trader questionnaire by the deadline announced on our Bigg Eats social media channels @thebiggeats.
We understand not every applicant will meet all the criteria right away. If your application isn’t successful this time, we’ll do our best to offer constructive feedback and support, with the aim of welcoming you to future events.
